Which one of the following applies to you?

• Freedom from daily routine.
• Doing what I want when I want.
• Improve my living standard.
• I want creative freedom.
• I want to fully use my skills, knowledge and education.
• I have a product/idea/service that people need.
• I’ll have more time with the family.
• I won’t have a dress code.
• There are good tax breaks for business owners.
• I’m a Type B person and work best alone.
• I want to be my own boss.
• I want to make the decisions.

Now granted, every one of the above is a good reason for wanting your own business. The rub is, that not many people think the process through – step by step. There are 7 phases to business planning. They are:

1. Investigation Phase
2. Planning Phase
3. Start-up Phase
4. Operating/Monitoring Phase
5. Problem/Challenge resolution Phases
6. Renewal/Expansion Phase
7. Selling, Transferring, Retirement Phase

We’ll cover all of the above in my next few columns as a “Business Basics” refresher, but for today let’s take number one.

In the Investigation Phase you take a look at yourself and also your business options. There are careers that are suited to personality types, so the first thing you must discern is “Which personality type am I?”

Duty Fulfillers
This is an introverted personality who is serious, quiet, thorough, orderly, matter-of-fact, logical, realistic, and dependable. They take responsibility, are well organized, know what should be accomplished and work steadily toward it disregarding distractions. They are careful calculators, and 20% of this group become accountants.

The Mechanics
These are also introverts and are cool onlookers. They are quiet, reserved, observing, and analyzing life with a detached curiosity and have unexpected flashes of original humor. They’re usually interested in cause and effect, how and why mechanical things work, and in organizing facts using logical principles. They usually are craftsmen, mechanics, or handymen with about 10% becoming farmers.

The Doers
These people are extraverts who are good at on-the-spot problem solving, don’t worry, enjoy whatever comes along, are adaptable, tolerant, and generally conservative in values. They tend to like mechanical things and sports, and dislike long explanations. They are best with “real” things that can be worked, handled, taken apart, or put together. About 10% of this type go into marketing or become Impresarios.

The Executives
These are another extravert group and are hearty, frank, decisive, leaders in activities and usually good in anything that requires reasoning and intelligent talk, such as public speaking. They’re usually well informed and enjoy adding to their fund of knowledge. They may sometimes appear more positive and confident than their experience in an area warrants. They’re sometimes called “judgers” and “thinkers” and 21% of this group become legal administrators.

To go into each personality type would be far too complicated, but to give you an idea of the roles that personality types could fall into look at the following list. Beside the categories we covered in depth here are some simply broken down into Introvert or Extravert Personality.

Introverts choose careers that satisfy being:
• Nurturers
• Guardians
• Artists
• Scientists
• Protectors
• Idealists

Extraverts are usually:
• Performers
• Visionaries
• The Inspirers
• Givers
• Caregivers

The second part of the Investigating Phase is looking at your business options. When choosing the business you want to start consider the following:

• Do you like to work with your hands or brain, or both?
• Does working indoors or outdoors matter?
• Are you good at math, writing, puzzles, blueprints, installing things or fixing things?
• What interests you? What are your hobbies?
• Do you like to work alone or as part of a team?
• Do you like to plan things, or go to events?
• Do you like machines, computers?
• Do you like to drive or operate equipment?
• Do you like to travel, collect/display things, give/attend shows, or take pictures?
• Are you small, large, strong?

Make a list of your likes and dislikes. Keep a diary of things you do that relate to business and rate each entry from 1 to 5 based on your interest. Then prepare a list of your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and concerns. After doing all that, you should have a list of candidate businesses that are right for you. Then you can make a list of the “candidate businesses” and rate them from 1 to 5 based on your own chosen criteria.

Some criteria could be is it feasible, low in cost to establish, meets my objectives, will make money, there is a “niche” market of existing customers, or it will produce residual income to name just a few.

By the time you’ve accomplished all that, you should seriously consider visiting the local chapter of S.C.O.R.E. or your own mentor to use as a sounding board for your plan. Next week, if I haven’t dissuaded you so far, we’ll cover the Planning Phase.
miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-91705606866123562252010-05-29T04:11:00.000+07:002010-05-29T04:11:00.183+07:004 Easy Tips To Increase Your Sales Page ConversionDo you know most Internet Marketers fail to make money online because their sales page lack of certain tiny things? It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out how to convert your sales page into a money making machine.

Here are 4 tips to increase your sales page conversion:-

1) If you plan to make money online selling software products, always give away a free demo that becomes increasingly useless over time.

Take WinZip, for example; if you don't purchase the full version, it slowly takes longer and longer to use it. This is a good model for demo software products. Only give out a limited product that becomes less useful over time without the upgrade. If your software is good and people just love using it, they will definitely upgrade it thus make money online for you just like that.

2) If you list the benefits of a given product, you will want to use good images as bullet points.

For instance, using clear, fast-loading check marks or "x" marks can significantly improve your sales page conversion rate. Additionally, you will want to pay attention to the colors you use. Red and blue usually work best. By doing this simple trick will easily make money online for you as your sales page looks more like written by a professional person.

3) One good way to increase your conversion rate on your sales page is to add a picture of yourself in the top right corner.

This piece of personalization will help pre-sell your visitors by letting them know that a real person is actually selling this product, rather than some nameless entity or pen name that is used to cover up someone's identity. Visitors who read your sales page will be more likely to buy from you just by applying this tip.

4) One effective way to increase conversion rates on sales pages is to scan your signature, save it as a .jpeg or .gif; and then use it to "sign" your sales page.

If you do not have a scanner, you can also purchase a natural handwriting program, such as v-letter, to do this task for you. Simply seeing a real signature will make visitors more likely to buy and you easily make money online.

As you can see, by showing the professionalism design in your sales page, your conversion rate will be much higher than before. Also, by applying any of the tips given, you will make some serious money online so check your sales page and make necessary changes right away. miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-30258961085311346822010-05-28T04:07:00.001+07:002010-05-28T04:09:22.680+07:00A MUST READ !! Look up compulsive disorders in the Diagnosis and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) and over- optimization fits the description fairly well. So, should most online home business owners be seen by a psychotherapist? Well, I won't answer that as of now since it doesn't bode well for my immediate physical health. But one thing is for sure: web site optimization is tricky business.

The search engines are in an all out war to be the best. Since content is king, they are all striving to develop the all around best algorithm to deliver the most relevant search results. They are thus in a constant state of flux, which in turn wreaks havoc on our nerves as online home business owners.

You see, search engines are one of the best forms of free traffic. And we all know that to run a successful online business, traffic is a must. Most home based web businesses start out on very restrictive budgets. I know mine did, and still is. So, when the toss up is time or money, I, like many others probably do, chose to work with time.

In walks optimization. You must be on your toes to stay ahead of the every changing SEs. You must periodically evaluate your site's content to ensure that you aren't bumped to low indexes. But this can easily get carried away into what I like to call over-optimization, and then you probably should consult the DSM- V.

Traffic is important. There is no doubt about it. But there must be a balance. So the ultimate question is not whether you should or shouldn't optimize, but how much time you should spend on it in terms of other site promotion methodologies.

Try to divide your time. In the beginning I focused heavily on search engine optimization. Slowly, after several months of realizing that the process never ends,(I too consulted the DSM-V and had Freud give me a swift kick in the tushy.) my focus began to shift to a host of promotion techniques. Here is a short list of some of the primary traffic generators I work with.

(1) Writing articles, such as this one, to share my experiences with others and of course provide a link to my site at the end. Guess what? If someone picks it up and decides to publish any of my articles on their site, I get bonus points from the search engines. Why? Reciprocal linking of course. The link shows that someone else values my site, and as a result my ranking increases.

(2) E-Zine advertising, whether it be free classified ads which a host of publishers will offer their subscribers, or full blown paid solo ads, is a great traffic generator. You know that the people who visit your site through an ad were looking for something that you offer. Now that's targeted traffic!

(3) Traffic exchanges can also bring in targeted traffic. Many of these have the option of free or paid memberships. As of now I have focused on the free aspect (Remember, I love low, or no cost advertising.). All that is required is for you to do a bit of surfing to have your short ad show up on other sites across the internet. TrafficSwarm and ClickMatrix are two of the best I have come across. They allow you to target your ad to ensure that the people who click are serious about checking out your site. You can sign up for free accounts to both of these at http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?224700 , and http://www.clicksmatrix.com/index.php?ref=ekinetic .

(4) Pay-per-click can also drive targeted traffic. The thing I don't care for is that the cost can easily get out of hand, if you don't continuously evaluate your click through rates on a daily basis. Soon your back to focusing on pay-per-click and re- consulting with the DSM-V:).

Ultimately, you want to incorporate a handful of techniques that you find work for your particular home based web business. I nor anyone else can guarantee what works. It takes testing on your behalf. But, and this is important, the testing phase is educational and forces you to stay focused on methods that work. So try the inexpensive traffic builders first. Find out what works for you. Then expand your arsenal. Most of all, be patient and success will come!miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-52123251835116563012010-05-26T11:06:00.000+07:002010-05-26T11:06:00.148+07:00A Freebie - How To Make Money In HereHow many times have you seen a "Free e Book, Free CD, Free Video" offer? It will show you how to do whatever, - and they will give it to you FREE! Yeah, I know, you see it with just about every offer on the Internet.

Primarily the reason most of the e Books, CD's, video's that are being given away is as follows: they want your name and email address. That is right, they want you to sign up so they can build their list.

It is, whether you like it or not, just a sales tool. Although they are giving you the e Book, the video, or the CD, you aren't getting it for nothing. Or are you?

Many of us (yes, including me) would love to escape our dull daily life and be free of it all. To build a business that can pay thousands or at least hundreds of dollars a day so we can live the life we dream about. The fast cars, the beach house, the personal and financial freedom that so few do achieve.

I know this sounds like it's not possible from my point of view, and that is not what I mean. It most certainly is all possible, and this "Free Gift" in exchange for your address and name has been one of the most successful ways to achieve it.

Are you making any money selling? Have you made any successful inroads yet? If your answers are not yes, you need to find out why not, and soon.

This "List" we all hear so much about. You may want to pooh pooh that as Internet BS, but it isn't. So are you keeping track of your sales, and if so,how? You using auto responder, a rotator, or a tracker? Even know what they are?

So you make a sale, GREAT! You have made that money, Now what? Can you get in touch with them again? Do you have something similar to what you sold that maybe they would want to purchase also? So how can you contact them again?

That is what makes the successful marketers in here, well...successful! They are constantly collecting information for future use. And with the things that appear on the web daily, why shouldn't they?

After you have found that precious customer, why not stay in touch with them? They have trusted you once, what makes you think they won't again? Make them your customer and be good to them, that's all they want. They could be one for life if you let them know you care.

Will all of them do that, of course not. But if you are in this for the long haul, you can build up a list over time that is really good for both you and your business, AND YOUR CUSTOMERS!

It's a natural thing to do business with people you like and trust. Can't that person be YOU? They are looking for you, and you should help them find you in every way you can.

Guess what? I am going to offer you the same deal in this article. Go to my website or Blog, the offer is in both, and sign up for my e Book. Yes, you will have to give me your first name and email address, sorry. (I have a list to build also.)

It won't cost you anything except the information. However, this little book has some great info and after all - IT IS FREE. But I will say that you can contact me from either place, (site or Blog), you can contact me anytime and we will talk about whatever you want regarding on line businessmiko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-22407895954930989492010-05-26T07:01:00.000+07:002010-05-26T07:01:00.308+07:00How To Save BIG In Your Online BusinessWhen you're first starting an online business, it can be a struggle finding the money to invest in the things that will grow your business most. Only later do you discover things all the guru's know that could have saved you a small fortune. Here are a few things that will help you save on Internet marketing business necessities.
In order to be in business on the Internet you DO need a website. Hosting that website doesn't need to cost you an arm and a leg. Here are two ways to save:

1) Don't register your domain through your web host. Instead go to a discount registrar. Your web host will charge you up to $40 or more (per year) just to conveniently handle your domain name registration. You can register or renew your domain name yourself for as little as $8 per year. I've set up a service for my subscribers and clients to do just that at:
http://WillieCrawford.com/domains/

How am I able to offer you such a bargain? I have a domain name reseller account at Wild West Domains. For around $100 per year, practically anyone can become a domain name reseller. You are charged a wholesale price for domain name registrations (and other services offered on my site above). You decide how much you want to mark up your prices above that. I have practically no markup because I enjoy helping beginners get off to a good start. I know that you'll be back for other products and services that I offer - after you're a big success :-)

2) Consider getting a web hosting account here:
http://www.profitautomation.com/app/adtrack.asp?AdID=119107

I have an account that lets me host up to 50 domains for only $109 per month. That equates to about $2 per domain, per month. The $109 package that I have gives me 4400 meg of disk space and 100 gigabytes of monthly bandwidth to spread among my 50 domains in that account any way that I want to.

The account above is intended for people who want to open their own web-hosting business. Basically, you can get one of these accounts and then charge your online or local customers whatever price you choose. Find 50 local customers and charge them $100 each and you've just turned $109 into $5000. That's a nice monthly revenue stream and it's also in-line with what offline businesses expect to pay.

The above account isn't for everyone. It doesn't come with a lot of free tech support. You have to go through some online tutorials and then you're the tech support. If you need help, you can get it through an online forum or through a trouble ticket system (where you pay by the minute). When one of your customers needs help, their trouble tickets go to you. If you pass them along to the parent company, you are billed by the minute.

I use the above account to host many of my own domains. I have numerous very simple sites that are only a few pages. Some are only a one-page sales letter. I save a bundle by paying only $2 per month to host these. When you're paying only $2 per month for hosting you don't need to make a lot of sale for a site to be profitable.

Another necessity is basic Internet access. For that I use my local cable company but I also have a backup dialup connection. That account, which offer decent service cost me less than $10 per month. Because I transfer many 30 meg or larger files back and forth regularly, this account probably isn’t robust enough to be my primary. However, my local cable company does sometimes have outages for various reasons. That's when I use this dialup account most. I also use it sometimes while I'm traveling. You can checkout the company I use at:
http://47928.yourdialupservice.com/
They offer thousands of local access numbers in the U.S. and Canada.

I have not located a comparable resource for outside the U.S. and Canada, but will pass it along when I do.

Another way to save big is to get your own merchant account. When you use Paypal or Clickbank, your initial investment may be less. However you pay much higher processing fees, and your less professional appearance DOES cost you sales. Savvy customers who understand Clickbank and Paypal will recognize that you're not processing enough volume to consider a merchant account worthwhile. They may consider you an amateur that they don't want to risk major purchases with.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't use Paypal or Clickbank when you first start out and you're not confident that your product will even sell. I AM saying that "when you're ready to run with the big dogs, you need to look like one of them." Top marketers that I know who are processing tens of thousands, and even hundreds of thousands of dollars per month in credit card transactions use: http://WarriorProcessing.com

Take a look at the site and you'll see why it's who we use.

As you get your online business rolling, the other thing you'll need is traffic. When you first get started, the fastest way to get it is from the pay-per-clicks. I use Google AdWords to drive initial traffic to all of my sites when I need that traffic fast. That allows me to quickly get enough traffic to test and improve my conversion rate. None of the other pay-per-clicks usually deliver the volume of traffic that I want quickly enough.

After I refine things using Google AdWords, I do set up accounts at some of the other pay-per-clicks. I use Google AdWords at first because I place a very high value on my time and I don't want to spend months just getting enough traffic to refine the sales process on a single site.

Unless you have lots of free time, I wouldn't waste time on any other traffic source initially EXCEPT for the one I am using right here. Writing and submitting articles to ezines and article directories has proven the single best source of free traffic for me. It works so well that I've written over 300 articles on various aspect of Internet marketing. To prove that this works, just enter my name at any search engine. You'll see millions of returns and most of them are simply from my article writing activities.

The other thing that will save you time is studying and practicing copywriting. Minor improvement in your web copy can easily increase your conversion rate by 100 times. Not learning copywriting is practicing false economy for most of us. If only 1 out of every 200 visitors to your site buys and just by changing a headline you can change that to 1 in 20, that shows just how important copywriting is. There have been countless documented cases of people getting improvements this dramatic from minor but important improvement in their web copy.

To learn copywriting, I went through and highly recommend Yanik Silver's Ultimate At-Home Internet Copywriting Workshop. This will be your largest initial expense, but it's a necessary one. Words sell, and if you're not willing to learn to use words properly in your marketing, then you probably shouldn't waste time setting up a website.

You can get all of the details on this course at:
http://www.ultimateonlinecopymanual.com

We've just gone over a number of way that you can dramatically cut the expenses associate with operating your online business. I'm willing to bet that I've just told you things that NO ONE else has told you. They aren't all trying to take advantage of you. However, they are hoping that out of ignorance you'll spend more on the same items through them. Qualify Your Prospect – Maximizing your time is important, so the faster you can determine if you’ve got a potential customer the better. Determine who the “Decision Maker” is, do you have a good rapport with him/her, is their a problem you can solve or do they know there’s a problem? You may have the greatest hammer in the world, but if all this prospect uses is screws – you can’t sell your product.

2. Gain Trust – Price and product benefits are obvious buying factors, but less obvious ones are intuition, impressions, and rapport. Prospects are just as apt to buy for emotional reasons as practical ones, so you need to show them you are most like them, you’re sincere, you keep your word, and are honest. If you say you’ll see them on Tuesday, make sure you keep your word. Don’t make a promise you don’t intend on keeping.

3. Define Your Unique Position – Your product or service provides your customer with a specific benefit or group of benefits. Make sure it isn’t the same as your competition. Why does your company stand out? Let them know the difference.

4. LISTEN! – Most salespeople are guilty of “overselling”, and often miss the sentence from the prospect that says, “You’re right. We’ll take it.” Listen to your prospect as he answers open-ended questions, and even listen to his tone and inflections of speech. Uncover the problem, and then provide the solution and stop talking.

5. Stay Focused – Too many small business owners spend all their time putting out fires instead of making sales. Spend at least 60% of your time trying to produce revenue. The sales window of 9am-5pm is small, so plan your selling time accordingly. Schedule non-sales generating duties outside this time.

6. Polish Your Presentation – Don’t take your sales presentation for granted. Practice your pitch. You’ve spent a lot of money perfecting your product or service, take the time to develop a comfortable, confident, effective presentation.

7. Do Your Homework – Research your prospects so that you can ask better questions, show better under-standing of his business, and be more prepared and confident before your meet.

8. Learn From Success – Many entrepreneurs have success in one industry with one type of client, and then don’t focus on getting more of the same type. If you’ve been successful selling to doctors and publishers, call on other doctors and publishers and refer to the successes you’ve had. Prospects will trust you more if they know you have previous experience with others in their field. You also spend less time establishing your credibility with them.

These are just a few of more than 50 or more ways to increase your sales revenue, but they are valuable in helping you to accomplish one very important goal – TO SELL THE MOST PRODUCT OR SERVICE IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME. Remember, the only difference between an average baseball player and an All-Star is just one more hit in every 10 at bats. Step up to the plate and sell, sell,
sell.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-55242249640981532182010-04-06T04:52:00.000+07:002010-04-06T04:52:00.427+07:00Internet Marketing IntroductionToday, most people access the internet for information, products and services. All entrepreneurs have turned their attention to the World Wide Web because it reaches so many people so quickly. Sales are increaseddramatically and expenses are not necessarily smaller, but different. If a company had a small shop in a rural town, they would have employees and other expenses. If this same company had an online business, they would probably not have as many employees on the clock. They may have the same amount of expenses but they would be different. There would be advertising costs, web design costs, search engine optimization costs, affiliate or joint venture costs, among others.

Nevertheless, selling products or services online has become very popular for many new entrepreneurs ranging in all ages, even as young as 15. If you run a small business online where you sell an information product, such as an eBook, you can write the eBook yourself as a guru on the topic. For example, let’s say you studied religion in college and got a PH.D in this subject. You write up an eBook explaining a drastic point of view concerning scriptures. You make sure it is information packed and very good quality. You sell it for 14.95 dollars to whoever is interested and you get their email address so you can forward them new updated info. You now have an email list so you can keep in contact with your buyers and possibly sell them other products in the future. You keep track of all your sales, you take care of customer service, and you handle everything. Guess what? You keep 100 percent of the profits.

Obviously, some companies are MUCH more complicated than that. But you get the picture; online marketing is a piece of cake. All you need is an idea and an internet marketing business plan of action. In other words, you do not need millions to start up a company on the internet. All you need is a great idea and the drive to do most of the work yourself.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-16839106178283077202010-04-06T04:49:00.000+07:002010-04-06T04:49:00.279+07:00THE SECRETS OF INTERNET AND ONLINE MARKETINGYou probably already use the Online World for many things.
Whether you use it for entertainment, research, sending E-mail
to friends and family, or just discussing numerous subject
topics with others.

Of all the things you can do online, there is one that you
should definitely know how to do. MARKET A BUSINESS ONLINE!

That's right, with the power of the Online World to reach
millions of people, Online Marketing is definitely an awesome
tool that no business should be without. The simple fact that advertising is practically FREE. The ability to get the results of thousands of dollars in free publicity is practically unheard of in business today. Only recently have more and more people figured out how to utilize the ever exploding Online World to market their business efforts.

Think about it, there is probably no business in existence that
could not benefit from free publicity! And the fact that
properly utilizing free advertising raises net profits to
unbelievable levels! Using any or all of the major online
services, or the INTERNET, can help you market your business
efforts.

Let's start with plain-old advertising. On America Online, for
example, they will let you place classified advertisements for
FREE! They have a variety of classifications to choose from. By
placing these small free ads you can generate some very quality
leads that can turn into sales. Or if you are a really good
marketer you could sell something straight from your free ad.
Wouldn't that be something, using the actual free ad to do all
of the selling.

The other services offer free advertising from time to time.
When they do charge for classified ads it is usually very
inexpensive, and still a great deal considering how many people
those ads can reach. When you place any advertisements you
should always "code" your ads. This means put something in each
individual ad that will tell you, if you get any business from
it, which ad it came from. This way, you will probably find
that some sections are better producers than others, and you
will want to concentrate on these sections and not the ones that
weren't making any money.

To code an ad you could make them request a certain "report" for
more information. You should give each report a different code
for each ad. Such as: "ask for report #1tv" , this way you
would know that this request came from the ad on television,
for sale category, and so forth. If they send you an order
straight from the ad, make them give you an order #, which would
be different for each ad. THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WHO
ARE ADVERTISING ONLINE ARE NOT USING THESE AD CODES!!!
THIS IS A MAJOR MARKETING MISTAKE!!!

By not tracking exactly which ads are making money, they are
wasting their time by continually placing ads in "loser"
categories. The actual code can be anything you want to assign
to it. ALWAYS keep track of every ad you place. Make a note of
what it said, where and when it was placed. You will be
pleasantly surprised when you analyze your "ad data" and see
some positive trends developing. Just repeat these trends and
it will help you to make more money!

How would you like to find a name list of several hundred (or
even thousand) people who might be interested in the particular
product or service you are selling based on their jobs or
interests? Wouldn't that be great!? Well, you can! And the
Online Services supply this service as a part of your regular
membership.

This little unknown tool is called the "Member Directory!" You
can do searches in the directory for other users with certain
characteristics. For example, if you were selling fishing
equipment, you could do a search by "fishing." All of the people
that were registered in the directory and had listed fishing as
one of their hobbies would show up on that search list. You
could now send each one of those people an e-mail message
telling them about your product or service, it's just like using
a mailing list, but you have no postage! (*Make sure you check
with your Online service to see if they allow unsolicited
E-mail.)

You can also get the names of several prospects by doing some
"browsing" in the different topic forums. Using the earlier
example of looking for people who fish, you could look under
sports until you found a discussion on fishing. You could then
take note of the users' names that were participating in the
discussions. You could do the same thing on the INTERNET with
one of the many newsgroup topics that they have.

The bottom line is that you "test" and record the results of
your Online Marketing efforts. Then just repeat the steps that
are making you money and expand on them to reach more people.

Doing simple research on the Internet. The Internet has several
mailing lists that are dedicated to marketing on the Internet.
You will also find hundreds of articles on the World Wide Web.
By searching one of the WWW search engines like Webcrawler you
can find all the information you can read. Use search strings
such as: "online marketing", "internet advertising", "selling
online", and so on.

You can also find many books on the subject at your local
bookstore or being advertised online.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-8440020453762121912010-04-05T04:47:00.000+07:002010-04-05T04:47:00.834+07:00EBook Writing BusinessIf you are a savvy writer with great English grammar skills, you should consider writing eBooks. It pays very well and you can do it in the comfort of your own home. It is very simple to write up an eBook. All you need to do is have Microsoft word and the internet. Do some research first on the topic. Know everything you can know about it, read up on it and save some quotes in your favorites area. You may want to stop by the local library to pick up some books on the topic too. That will help you when writing up your eBook. EBooks should be between 50 – 75 pages depending on the topic and what the assignment is. After you have thoroughly researched your topic and you know a lot about it you want to create a table of contents. You want the chapters to flow freely from one thought to the other. Make sure you cover as much as you can about the topic and title each chapter, writing a few notes about what you want to write about -which you will delete later.

The next step would be just to get started on it! Start writing creatively, from your heart, not just spitting out facts on a paper. People are reading your eBook because they do not want to read and search for information located everywhere about a specific topic. They want a concise, easy to read; interesting eBook they can print out and curl on the couch with. It goes without saying that no one should ever plagiarize; not only is it unlawful, it is disrespectful.

Always spell check and edit your work by reading it when you have finished. Polish it off by organizing each chapter into an eBook. Come up with a savvy title that catches the audience. If you really enjoy this line of business, you could do this full time and quit your day job.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-45813311846318942742010-04-05T04:42:00.000+07:002010-04-05T04:42:00.435+07:00How to Build your Opt-In ListSome companies decide to send customers a free newsletter to get an email list. But there are other ways to collect email addresses. Sometimes having a newsletter just doesn’t make any sense for your company. For instance, if you happen to sell dishwashers, how much information could you send your customer, daily, on dishwashers. So, instead here are a few other options for increasing your email list.

You could run a contest. The puzzle, game or task should be easy and straightforward so that you don’t frustrate the customer and you still get their email address in the end.

A great incentive to collect email addresses would be a free eBook. People love getting free stuff, especially eBooks that interest them. Remember, it doesn’t have to be 100 pages long; five to ten pages will work fine.

Surveying the customer is a great way to collect email addresses. You can find out what the customer likes/dislikes, and what they have problems with or need solutions for.

Advertise your opt-in offer in an e-zine or classified ad. It actually doesn’t cost tons of money and if you find the right place to advertise, you could see dramatic results.

Email signatures, or electronic signatures, also referred to as a, sig file is a three to six line footer that you can add to the bottom of each email message you send out with your name, company and a free report with a link attached. You will be surprised how many visitors you get this way. Make sure you track where you are getting your traffic by the different links you send out.

If a customer is interested in downloading an article from your web site, they will definitely have no problem providing their name and email address. They will love to receive more articles from you or have access to a members only area of your site with plenty of resources.

Offer your customers a free course or a free download to collect email addresses. They will love to get something for free. Customers who opt-in when something free is being offered think to themselves what have I got to lose. It a great deal for both of you.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-20166235025261442022010-04-04T04:46:00.000+07:002010-04-04T04:46:00.535+07:00Email PromotionsOpt-in email marketing works with any business model, you can make money following some key rules. When you have someone’s email address, they are practically inviting you to come sell them something. They want to hear from you, hear the updated news; they want to receive your information. This means lifetime valuable relationships with customers who are interested in what you have to say. You can see the results of the email you have just sent out within hours, which means no wasted advertising dollars, you know what works and what doesn’t, simple as that. Opt-in email marketing is not only effective and instantaneous, but free.

You can utilize opt-in email marketing if you already have an online business, or an offline business, or no business at all. For offline business, collect email addresses from your clients and send them an occasional email with a discount and watch the appointment book get filled up quickly. Drive qualified buyers to your web site by sending your customers a free report or newsletter subscription which entices them to buy the full version. So, what if you do not have a business at all. Everyone has an interest that they are passionate about, whether it is yoga, or fishing. Start writing information packed newsletter about your favorite topic and recommend other people’s products or services for a commission on any sales you send them. Post your free newsletter offer on online newsgroups, or other newsletters. You will get a lot of subscribers because it is free.

Best of all, there are thousands of companies willing to pay you to sell their products on your newsletter. Here are a few websites to check out to find those companies:

www.affiliateguide.com
www.associateprograms.com
www.affiliatematch.com

You will earn commissions every time one of your newsletter subscribers buys a product from the company.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-63515638358447974382010-04-04T04:40:00.000+07:002010-04-04T04:40:00.299+07:00How to Design your Web SiteWhen a customer visits your website, you have roughly ten seconds to capture their attention, so you better think carefully about what you want to include. Some websites go directly into the navigation and content of their websites on their first “index” page. Customers can surfsurf around the site and decide if they want to buy the product or service. This is not really the wisest option available. Of course, every site does need the standard index page chock full of frequently asked questions, testimonials, order form, etc. But there is a better way to “capture” your visitors by using a squeeze. A squeeze page captures your audience with a screaming headline and brief key points about the customer’s problem and how you intend to solve it. Sometimes a squeeze page offers a free report or newsletter. Either way, all squeeze pages purpose is to retrieve the customers name and email address, or sometimes they ask the customer a burning question.

So what is the point in retrieving the customer’s name and email address? Have you heard of opt-in lists? An opt-in list is gold to an internet marketer because you can send your customers information which will hopefully attract the customer back to the website to either purchase a product or service being offered. Spamming is illegal and having a great opt-in list is really necessary to any Internet marketer. You can also use your list to make money as an affiliate with another company. You can send customers an email from the site you are promoting and make profits as an affiliate. This is a great way to earn extra income indeed.

Squeeze pages are sometimes the first page found on a website. Sometimes they are pop ups on the index page of a website. They are very crucial to any Internet marketer’s business.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-79366590162285939732010-04-03T04:36:00.000+07:002010-04-03T04:40:03.942+07:00Guaranteed To Increase SalesAs a Publishing entrepreneur and by doing publicity for my clients, I’ve spent years studying the art of selling. The techniques that follow aren’t difficult to learn, but they require discipline and practice.

Your most important skill as a business owner is your salesmanship. Having the best product or service means nothing if you can’t get anyone to buy it, so to ensure the success of your business you must develop the ability to generate revenue – “salesman-ship”.

Here is a brief outline of 13 techniques I’ve developed for increasing sales:

1. USE THE PHONE –Absolutely the cheapest, most effective, and efficient way to find customers is by phone. Yes, “cold-calling”. Write out a script for this before you call, so you don’t sound vague. Introduce yourself, your company, the purpose of the call, and give a brief “benefit” of your product/service to the client. ”What will you do for his/her business?” Be brief, to the point, and have 10 possible objections you might get, answered in your script. This way you’re prepared for the customary “brush-off.” Always try to get a firm commitment to a meeting. This call is not to “sell” the client, it’s to get a face-to-face meeting to establish credibility – and then to sell him/her. Would you buy from a voice on the phone? No. You want to see the vendor and listen to his offer.

2. SHOUT IT FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOP – You should always be looking for new customer, and I’ve found that giving seminars, teaching, guest speaking at trade shows and organizations, or writing an article for your trade magazine or business journal establishes you as an “expert” in your field. People like to buy from experts because it reduces their fear of making a bad decision. Everyone can overcome their fear of public speaking, so find the method that works best for you and do it. As a desperate step, join a Toastmaster’s group near you or take a night course at a nearby Adult School.

3. ASK QUESTIONS – Most salespeople think that the first meeting with the prospect is the only chance to make a sale. WRONG! Before you go into your “pitch” ask questions, take notes, what are your prospects goals, challenges, etc. Helping a prospect solve a business problem creates a “win-win” relationship and closes more sales than you think.

4. AVOID “PRODUCT DUMPING” – Telling your prospect all about your product/service before you know their needs is a mistake made by 95% of salespeople. This is an inefficient selling method and upon reflection, your client will lose faith in you. I’ve met with clients on several occasions and left them with some advice and good feelings, but no sale and that’s alright. Because in the future I’m apt to get “word of mouth” referrals from them, which will outweigh what I might have made if I’d simply “sold” them a service that wasn’t an answer to their problem. Remember – nothing adds more to your credibility than a referral from a satisfied prospect.

5. KNOW YOUR NUMBERS – Selling is a numbers game, and you need to learn your “selling ratios.” How many prospecting calls do you need to get a meeting, and how many meetings to get a sale. This allows you to manage your cash flow by forecasting your sales. It also tells you how many calls are needed to increase your sales revenue.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-55106959654966641672010-04-03T04:34:00.000+07:002010-04-03T04:36:44.194+07:00Viral MarketingViral marketing is a cool term for word of mouth on the Internet. It is where people hear about your website service or products through other people. Sending an email with an advertisement on the bottom is a good way to spread the word. Having a newsletter also increases your visibility online. There are also forums that discuss products and services and rate them. Viral marketing’s referral technique works like the snowball effect, which increases exponentially the visibility of your business. Getting personal recommendations to try a product or service is a great way to build credibility and trust in the company. Repeating these referrals to other people makes the customer actively engage themselves and not passively hear about the products advantages.

Viral marketing is a great way to keep advertising costs way down. Passing along an article from an ezine keeps the message intact, is free and easy to pass along, and doesn’t cost anything, but offers a clear benefit to both parties involved.

Here are some ways to make your viral marketing message work. You can give away a free article with a pass it on link on the bottom, or a free demo version of your product, or offer a free trial of your service on your web site and include a share it with your friend button at the bottom of the page. You could also hold a contest and capture people’s contact information and each time their friends come to the site, they are entered into the contest again. Starting your own affiliate program, where affiliates generate traffic to your website with banner ads, text links, letters of referrels, etc. You pay for results only.

Viral marketing is the way to achieve high traffic cheaply and effectively on the web. Provide your customers with a compelling reason to pass on the message and you are well on your way to big time traffic.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-81746576089015324202010-04-02T21:49:00.000+07:002010-04-02T22:00:17.966+07:00Small Business Success SecretThe real secret to small business success has nothing to do with technology tools, the internet or anything like that. In fact, it isn’t even a real secret. It has been around since man started to communicate. It’s
WORDS!

Words carry enormous power. They can make you laugh hysterically, or destroy a relationship or friendship. Words have more power in them than any other tool at your disposal.

Effective use of words, especially in business, means skyrocketing sales, satisfied clients, happy employees, and a profitable and secure future. Yet, less than 1% of small entrepreneur businesses use words with full power.

The power of words can be learned and used effectively by anyone, and when this power is harnessed there’s nothing on this earth that can stop you. This art of using words is what is called copy writing. It makes or breaks your sales and advertising material.

One of the ways an “amateur” copywriter who is writing for his own product or business can beat the experienced pro is by infusing the sales letter or ad with his own, honest, intense enthusiasm. When doing selling in print, enthusiasm is just as important as in face-to-face selling.

This is why you can’t just sit down and write an ad “on command”, like you can sit down and do bookkeeping. You have to work up some enthusiasm for the job and the proposition you’re putting across.

If I’m going to write an ad or some other sales material the first thing in the morning, as I often do, I try to set my subconscious mind working on that job before I go to bed the night before. Sometimes I wake up with the “big idea” that I need, other times I at least wake up with ideas and a readiness to write them and pick and choose.

Don’t force yourself to “grind out” direct-response copy when you really don’t feel like it because the result will be flat and mechanical. It may be technically correct with a headline, subheads, bullet points, an offer, etc., but it will lack spirit and enthusiasm.

The person who is genuinely enthusiastic about what he/she is selling definitely has an advantage. That’s why the freelance pro copywriter should always download as much of the pitch from the product’s most enthusiastic salesperson as possible. Then transfer it to paper and shape and mold it to perfection.

Over the years, the work I’ve done for clients and ad agencies has proven that the most successful work was for clients that were passionate and enthusiastic about what they sell. So before you tackle that next ad for your business, make sure you’re as enthusiastic about it as you want your clients to be.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-20991862019418811032010-03-28T15:15:00.000+07:002010-03-28T17:10:39.207+07:00Cheap Web Site TrafficEvery online company knows that without traffic to their site, they go broke, quickly. There are many ways to get cheap web site traffic. One way is pay per click advertising, where you pay per click through to your site, but you do not know if the customer is going to purchase your product, so you do lose some money with that. Another way
is to request links from other relevant, high traffic sites. Links to other well established sites is like personal recommendations, where you establish credibility fast, which increases the chances that they will buy your product. You must be persistent enough with some sites, though. You want to download the alexa toolbar, which gives you information about a website, such as traffic rating, ranking, contact info, site stats, related links, etc.

You can get free advertising by giving away free expert content to relevant sites itching for some new, fresh content. Web site owners are always looking for fresh content. Make sure you write a bit about the author and your web site or product. As long as it is not competing with theirs, they will not mind. You can post on these sites:

www.ezinearticles.com
www.freesticky.com
www.ideamarketers.com
www.findsticky.com

You can become an active expert in a newsgroup that is industry related. A newsgroup is an online forum where people share information and common interests. When you post, you are literally talking to your potential customers. These people do not want to be sold something; they want information from gurus, about the topic they are interested in. Make sure you have a sig file, or signature and start establishing relationships and prove your expertise. Stay with newsgroups that do not accept advertisements. This is also a great way to gather feedback from your website, straight from the horses’ mouth. You can reinvent it if you need to and fix it accordingly. When you post informative articles, people will begin to look forward to your posts, and eventually you may want to direct these people to your brand new newsletter.

miko seonobihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04318772385781475859noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153104412069255814.post-47057144128264971562010-02-27T13:28:00.000+07:002010-02-27T14:00:54.627+07:003 Reasons Online Entrepreneurs Love Affiliate MarketingThe affiliate marketing business models is a favorite amongst online entrepreneurs for many different reasons.
